If you want to build your own LC meter, here is one using a PIC and 16x2 display, It is based on the AADE unit that is no longer available (though the clones are on eBay probably).

I've built one from scratch and it works really well. You will need a PIC programmer. I had to wind a toroid for the reference L.

Where is that WSPR $30 transmitter you where talking about? I'd listen to the podcast again but it was 2+ hours LOL :)

Thanks!

There are two that might be what you're talking about. The one I use is the Ultimate 3 from QRP Labs: https://www.qrp-labs.com/ultimate3/u3s.html

The other one that Rod talked about is the SOTA Beams WSPRlite: https://www.sotabeams.co.uk/wsprlite-antenna-tester/

What was the URL of the site you mentioned near the end with plans for a diy az-el rotator made from 80-20 extrusions and 3d printed parts?

Guys....I really, really like the round robin answering of lister questions from a practical engineering standpoint. Every comment mentioned has you now thinking of critical elements to consider from the show hosts experience and perspective. Because each of you has very different experience levels, it covers a very broad area of things to consider that would be impossible for one person to have alone. Its one of my favorite episodes so far (Genasun was the best IMO).
I also like the very end (yes George, I listened to the end :) where the 10 ghz guys were doing their thing on the liaison channel. This is exactly the kind of thing I usually have in the background playing as I work in the garage. It was like listening to a new repeater in town that I've not heard before. Great work guys...keep up the great show. 73 N5XL
