On the McIntosh team’s new paradigm for the sunspot cycle, see the upcoming July issue of RadCom.

I'm on my 4th iteration of magnetic loop antennas. First was a 1m diameter, which worked well with an Elecraft KX3 on battery for FT8 on 20m, not much good for 40m. Successive loops were progressively bigger, trying more power and expanding workable bands. Current loop is 1/2" OD flexible copper pipe loop with 5 - 500 pF 3kV variable vacuum capacitor. It works 17m, 20m, 30m, 40m and 80m. Added a choke at antenna input to eliminate common mode current per K9YC design. Very good for indoor operation, keeps the hand in when not out working SSB portable.

About Vince's problem with his WWVB clock: A friend came to me in the late 90's with this exact problem - and the solution, which (last I heard) continues to function is here:

Can we please add to the show notes items discussed, or mentioned to be included in them? Example: CellFlex 1", vaccum capacitor used. Stepper Wifi, etc...

"I'll put it in the show notes". Well, where is it?
