Is it possible to download these Podcasts easily? With the previous episodes there was a convenient download button. I used to listen to them on my "vintage" ;-) MP3 player.

Try the Podcast Index site. It should let you do that for recent episodes in the rss feed. https://podcastindex.org/podcast/507433

I’ve had a Hakko 808 for too many years to count. I think I paid about $200. It is the best investment on my bench.

I like the idea of a club tool lending library but I suspect, as always, the devil is in the details. Has anyone tried this? Successfully? Besides coax strippers, what other kinds of high cost, seldom-needed tools are good candidates? Do you need an appointed librarian to store the tools, keep track of borrowers, and deal with broken, lost, or worn tools.

There is so much info in these podcasts and I try to take notes for the things I find really importation, but trying to go back to find something I heard to make sense of something else is time consuming. Can I suggest using a feature of listennotes that will auto transcribe the podcast and make it searchable?

I see many examples on Ebay of new Times Microwave LMR-400. Is there anything wrong with buying older cable like this (based on the date stamp on the genuine Times cable) that was manufactured in 2015 or 2016, or should I stick with newer manufactured stuff? Thanks!!

Mount Umunhum is a great SOTA location and I was pleased to activate it. I used my FT817 to get many 2m FM contacts then was ecstatic to work RM0L on 20m using a 4 ft whip.

I'm 75% through the 1/25 podcast on coax and connectors and learning a lot as usual. Unrelated to the show topic, in the "What's on Your Workbench" part of this show Mark I believed mentioned a 2-watt FM transceiver module (building block) which intrigued me. I checked the show notes then have been searching for such a device on Google as well as the usual electronics vendors, but no joy. Could you suggest a source?

Hello Bill, I too was interested in reading up on that module I have found a few references to it. Google “SA818” , also check YouTube Channel IMSAI guy , he has a nice video working with the demo board. I am no programmer but am considering getting a couple of these as they are cheap and look fun to tinker with! Good luck! 73 de Seth - W8FG

Thanks Seth! With your info I found the modules for sale from several vendors. I also checked out the IMSAI guy on Youtube; great stuff. He has some other topics of interest to me.
