In the amateur home built aircraft community, we typically try to embed com and nav antennas in the composite aircraft structure to reduce aerodynamic antenna drag. However, we learned that this does not work on carbon fiber airframes, for the same reasons George discovered with the carbon antenna mast.

Another great episode to keep me occupied on my periodic long I-15 drive between Vegas and SoCal. It is amazing how many new and interesting topics you routinely bring to your audience. Thank you.

In this episode it was made mention of a cheap SDR radio for $10 or $15 or even splurge and get the $20 with the metal case. Which radio was that again? Which link is for that one?
