George KJ6VU takes us through a thorough deep dive of the design of the 4-Port Coax Relay Project.  We talk about the five major sections of the project - RF circuit switching with relays, control via PIC Microcontroller, the power supply, the user interface, and serial communications.  Each section provides a reference design that could be leveraged in other projects.

I am shocked this has a DC barrel connector instead of POWERPOLES! POWERPOLE THE WORLD!

Picked up this board at Hamvention. I didn't appreciate that the "small amount of parts" I was told were needed to complete the kit turned out to be over one-hundred dollars worth of parts. That seemed deceptive to me, and I would not recommend this kit to anyone. It remains an unpopulated board on my bench.

Hello K2PI. To complete the project for the base level of functionality, the BOM cost is $64.28 from DigiKey. The cost goes over $100 if a Ham wishes to add all of the wireless/controll functionality as that cost includes XBee radio module and RS485, which are both optional features. More information, including a link to the Bill of Materials can be found here https://www.hamradioworkbench.com/4-port-coax-relay.html
