We have had good success with thermacell in central NC, western NC, Virginia, South Carolina and North Florida.

Yes the refills are a bit pricey, but 42 bucks a year for non itchy sleep is worth it to me.

There was a device mentioned in the podcast that would allow multiple radios to use the same antenna. Could any more information on that device be provided?

The units are quadplexers by Low Band Systems. They are a 4 band splitter. You run the antenna into one port and then there are 4 ports, one for each band / radio.
We choose the 500w model with 10/15/20/40 meters.

I am glad the club loves the BuddiHex, George. It really is a easy to deploy and very effective antenna to increase your contest scores and to work DX.

I can set up by myself in about 25 minutes

PLEASE GUY IT AT ALL TIMES

Pre-set the guys with no antenna, drop the mast, raise the mast with antenna and tighten guys and your done.

I also use Helinox sand bags to keep it up and as a back up

Instant band changes and will take 300 watts PEP no problem it can do more
